In 2003, Lucy and Tony Herrera, with Jesse Herrera's expertise, set out on an adventure by opening a burrito shop in the small town of IRA near Snyder, TX. After encountering a few challenges with the landlord, Lucy and Tony decided to grow their dream and opened a full-service restaurant in Snyder. The community quickly fell in love with their flavors and the welcoming atmosphere, supported by a staff who chose to become part of this budding little business.

 

In 2014, Lucy and Tony’s daughter Monica was invited to join the Dolphin’s Restaurant story, embracing the adventure wholeheartedly. She introduced new dishes and flavors to the menu, blending traditional Mexican recipes with the unique textures and ingredients of Tex-Mex cuisine—many of which have quickly become favorites among customers.

 

Now, more than twenty-three years after its founding, Dolphin’s Restaurant remains one of the locals’ and travelers’ favorite spots—a must-stop for those passing through. Over the years, the restaurant has transformed and adapted, always keeping excellent service and high-quality food as top priorities. Customers are welcomed with warmth, and the staff and management truly feel like family.
